Before I graduate, I will…
take a liberal arts class. A solid
understanding of history, economics,
literature, and philosophy can foster
critical thinking and make good citizens
and business leaders, contends Purdue
president Mitch Daniels.
With that in mind, at the induction
ceremony for Purdue’s Class of 2020, he
urged all students, regardless of their
academic major to “HELP yourself,” by
taking at least one course each in history,
economics, literature, and philosophy to
gain a foundational understanding of
the concepts every college graduate
To help students find those classes,
the College is developing a web portal
highlighting some of the options it offers.
